Football finance expert, Stefan Borson, joins McCarthy Denning as Head of Sport
Next Generation City law firm, McCarthy Denning, is delighted to announce that Stefan Borson has joined the firm as Partner and Head of Sport.
Stefan brings a unique combination of legal, financial and executive experience spanning over two decades. A qualified solicitor who trained at Addleshaw Goddard, he later served as Group General Counsel, Company Secretary and subsequently Chief Executive Officer of Watchstone Group plc. His career also includes senior roles as CEO in an advertising and media business and more than 10 years in investment banking, investing and corporate advisory.
Stefan is widely recognised as a leading commentator on football finance and regulation, regularly appearing on TalkSport, BBC, ITV News and in The Times, The Guardian and other international media, where he contributes expert analysis on issues surrounding the Premier League’s financial fair play rules, club ownership and commercial strategies. His appointment strengthens McCarthy Denning’s growing sport and commercial law capabilities, complementing its established expertise in corporate transactions, governance, litigation and intellectual property services.
