Henry Davey takes on role as Head of Energy

McCarthy Denning is pleased to announce the appointment of Henry Davey as the new Head of Energy. With a distinguished career specialising in renewable energy projects, Henry brings a wealth of expertise to support clients in navigating the ever-evolving landscape of sustainable energy.

Henry has considerable experience advising on complex renewable energy transactions, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure projects. Having worked with leading energy providers, investors, and policymakers, he has been instrumental in directing legal strategies for clients that also align with global sustainability goals.

Rafique Khan may be stepping down but will remain a McCarthy Denning partner. Rafique has been running the firm’s energy team for the past ten years and we’re sure Henry is aware there are boots to fill when he takes the reigns.

Commenting on Henry’s new appointment, McCarthy Denning CEO Warren Wooldridge said: “Henry’s appointment brings renewed purpose and direction to our Energy practice. While his expertise spans the wider energy sector, his particular experience in renewables adds a vital dimension to the team. We are immensely grateful to Rafique for his outstanding leadership of the Energy team over the past decade. His collegiate approach and deep sector knowledge have set a very high standard – one that Henry will undoubtedly uphold and build upon.”
