Philip is a corporate partner with almost 45 years of experience. He was a tax lawyer for 15 years, advising on complex tax planning and litigation, including at the level of the House of Lords and below in the fields of corporation tax, VAT and income tax. Client demand (and the increasingly small print of the yellow and orange books) led him into the field of international corporate and corporate real estate over the past 30 years. He has acted in the creation of numerous private equity funds in Europe and the Middle East and handled subsequent investments by those funds.
Philip has been a partner in City firms such as Taylor Wessing, a multinational German based firm and two US firms.

Philip was at the forefront of the expansion of legal work in central and eastern Europe dealing with privatisations in Romania (where he acted for both the state and foreign investors), Hungary, the former East Germany, Montenegro, and Bulgaria.
He has been involved in a wide range of corporate activities for clients from Ethiopia, Portugal, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Lebanon, Germany, Poland, France, USA, India, Australia, and Canada. More recently he advised on the reorganisation of the UK businesses of a major Canadian quoted professional services group. Philip has executed a number of cross border mergers, prior to the Brexit deadline and most recently led the corporate team advising the Warsaw Stock Exchange on its acquisition of the purchase of the majority stake in the Armenian stock exchange, the letter of intent for which was signed at the recent Davos summit in the presence of the President of the Republic of Poland, the president of the Republic of Armenia and the CEOs of the Warsaw and Armenian stock exchanges.
Philip has held a number of local and international management roles in Romania, Germany and London.
