The breadth of Paddy’s personal practice reflects his many years dealing with clients’ international legal issues, whatever they may be, and explains why he is an accomplished lawyer in a range of services such as corporate, commercial, shipping, finance as well as being a successful litigator.
Recently, the predominant part of Paddy’s practice has been international litigation and arbitration, but he also advises on international trade Law (including investment treaties), EU law, competition law, banking and finance, and energy & natural resources. Paddy is well-connected in numerous jurisdictions and in larger matters he is able to convene teams of lawyers and other professionals.
Paddy has a close understanding of the way different legal systems work, the cultures that underpin them, and how they fit together (or in some case, don’t fit together). This knowledge informs all his legal work and enables him to provide insightful direction to international legal strategies.
Paddy is co-author of European Product Liabilities (First and Second editions – Butterworths) and is a Freeman of the City of London.
