Martin Sandler is a highly accomplished financial services regulatory lawyer with a wealth of experience advising clients, most of which have been global financial institutions. A former partner at Eversheds Sutherland, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner and EY Law, Martin has also held several senior in-house roles. His previous positions include Head of EMEA Trading & Markets Counsel at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, General Counsel at Liffe (then part of NYSE Euronext), as well as undertaking a partner secondment to Goldman Sachs.
Martin advises on the full spectrum of financial services regulation. His practice spans banking and capital markets, market infrastructure, regulated and private funds, wealth and investment management, corporate finance, private equity, FinTech and Crypto, as well as contentious regulatory matters, including having been appointed by the Financial Conduct Authority as a s166 Skilled Person. He regularly handles investigations, enforcement issues, regulatory disputes, and the complex issues arising in financial institution insolvencies and insurance.
