Jon is a real estate lawyer with considerable experience in buying, selling, asset managing and developing real estate.
He has worked in the sector for over 35 years, previously at Gowlings, and has built a significant roster of clients over that period.
His main clients are institutional investors, property companies and trusts. Jon works across the core real estate sectors including residential (from student housing to social housing), mixed-use, industrial, office and retail property.
Jon’s clients often require complex arrangements with appropriate corporate and tax structuring. He has worked extensively with corporate vehicles and other structures in creating bespoke vehicles for the holding of real estate investments.
Acting for many different clients with differing needs and objectives from family trusts and start-up developers to the largest property company and institutional investors has given Jon the ability to try and see a transaction from many points of view, which proves to be very beneficial to a client and helpful to all parties in concluding a successful project.
