What we say about Henning

He has spent more than 11 years in-several first-tier investment banks where he has gained hands-on and business relevant advisory and transactional experience in the areas of real estate finance, distressed debt and restructuring. During his time in-house he also deepened his expertise in OTC derivative documentation and all legal and regulatory issues relating to a variety of derivative products (including structured notes) and prime brokerage. Henning is familiar with the legal aspect of clearing and has worked extensively with recent financial services regulation, including its implementation.

His clients value his excellent technical skills, his commercial understanding and his calm and pragmatic approach.

Henning has a law degree from Heidelberg University and spent his first four years in private practice in Germany and in-house at Daimler AG (then Daimler Chrysler AG), working on asset finance transactions.

In late 1999 he joined Hogan Lovells (then Lovell White Durrant) and qualified as a Solicitor in 2000. After four years at Hogan Lovells and then Linklaters he joined the Merrill Lynch legal department followed by the Barclays Capital legal department in London. His considerable experience as team-leader and head of a legal department in an investment bank also enables Henning to advise on issues relating to the establishment, structure and strategic direction of a legal department.

He worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers before joining McCarthy Denning in March 2019.

Henning works for financial institutions, asset and investment managers and corporates in the UK, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
