“I have known Gordon for over 15 years and worked on numerous cases with him. He is an excellent solicitor and I do not hesitate to recommend him because he handles complex international matters with skill, is highly reliable, meticulous, creative, transparent with his fees, and very pleasant to work with.”
Eva-Patricia Stormann, Attorney
“We have been working with Gordon for more than 13 years. He is goal oriented and has a keen perception. That is what we and our clients appreciate most. Without his outstanding and consistent quality of work we would not have cooperated with him successfully for so many years.”
Dr. Ralf Grote, Rechtsanwalt
“I have known and worked with Gordon for more than 10 years. He has a very commercial approach and his technical knowledge is cutting edge.
He has been of great assistance in contentious bankruptcy litigation matters where cost control and attention to detail is key.”
James Earp, Insolvency Practitioner, Geoffrey Martin & Co
“I have been lucky and privileged to have a hard-working, understanding and knowledgeable lawyer such as Gordon as my solicitor.”
Sergei VLADI, Doctor of Law
“With Gordon we have always been in extremely capable hands. He has emotional intelligence but is also tenacious, formidable and has a deep understanding of the issues. His ability to drill into the detail and articulate this to us and the other side is impressive and his hands-on approach invaluable. We would not wish to work with anyone else.”
Cantell & Co
“I could not be happier with the legal advice and professional support I have received from Gordon.
His long experience in litigation, together with his training as a mediator, give him a winning combination of hard and soft skills which allowed him to deal sensitively with me and decisively with the other party.”

What we say about Gordon
After a spell as a British Army officer (which included UN peace-keeping in Cyprus), Gordon qualified as a barrister and then also as a solicitor in 1989. He first worked at Olswang and Eversheds, then in-house at the Serious Fraud Office (1995 – 1997) and subsequently as a partner in other London firms, most recently as head of litigation at Monro Wright & Wasbrough LLP. In 2000 he was trained by CEDR and became an accredited mediator. He joined McCarthy Denning in 2017.
Gordon has acted for large multinationals, insurers, banks, regulatory authorities, prosecution agencies, liquidators, trustees in bankruptcy, receivers, high net worth individuals, small and medium businesses and professionals; with instructions coming to him from the UK, the USA, South America, Russia, South Korea, Cambodia, the Middle East, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Cyprus, Italy and Spain. The common factor is always complexity.
Gordon also deals often with cases requiring cultural sensitivities. Drawing upon: his experience in living for extended periods abroad, being bilingual in German and with some Spanish and French, his familiarity with Russian business, his understanding of Islam and his 17-year practice of mediation, he has a particular interest in cases that span different human perspectives.
