Abigail’s practice comprises of a full range of corporate legal matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity capital market transactions, general company law, group restructurings and helping early stage ventures raise money.

Abigail has often worked on transactions involving an international element and her experience covers acting for clients in a diverse range of sectors including hotels, media and technology, investment funds, energy and financial services. 


Abigail trained and practiced for the first half of her career in the corporate department of Norton Rose. She subsequently practiced at Stephenson Harwood before joining McCarthy Denning’s corporate team. She has a degree in law with German law from the University of Warwick.

Abigail has significant experience working in both the private and public company domains. The variety of her experience is illustrated by her work with LOVEFiLM and a number of other companies on venture capital transactions, acting for both companies and Nomads on numerous AIM listings, advising recruitment group OPD Group on its proposed takeover offer of Imprint, acting for investment trust Throgmorton on a large scale restructuring, as well as providing general company law advice to many large and small private companies. She has wide experience in the hotel sector, acting for clients such as Accor and Macdonald Hotels on their joint ventures and business sales and acquisitions.

Recent work includes advising on a number of listings on the standard segment of the Official List, notably that of Challenger Acquisitions Limited, followed up by its relisting.
