Safiye joins McCarthy Denning in 2018 as part of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. She is well versed in steering cases through the court system but also is also a skilled negotiator. Called to the Bar in 2004 she is accustomed to appearing as an advocate, when required. Safiye has developed a particular expertise in contentious real property matters, having covered most issues from Possession Orders to applications under The Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996. She also has extensive experience in bringing Judicial Review actions against local authorities to challenge decision making and dereliction of duty. Safiye is used to making urgent applications for interim orders and injunctions.
Despite being a tenacious litigator Safiye will explore the range of options available to the client to resolve their dispute to identify the one which makes the most commercial sense.
Safiye was admitted to the Roll in 2007 and prior to joining McCarthy Denning was an Associate Solicitor at Osbornes LLP.
