Michael has been a solicitor since 1989 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2005.
The scope of his work, while in London, was mainly contentious and non-contentious property related matters including town planning, planning appeals, construction and leasehold enfranchisement.
Michael acted as counsel in the B.C. Supreme Court, his work has encompassed civil fraud, a variety of corporate and commercial disputes, professional negligence, and particularly jurisdictional challenges, cross-border issues and injunctive relief.
In addition, his work includes international commercial arbitration under the institutional rules of the International Chamber of Commerce and mediation as part of the litigation process in B.C.
Michael holds higher rights of audience in the civil courts. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
